Leading one of the largest NHS spasticity services in the UK, he is undertaking research into patient outcomes to advance practice within the field of long term neurological rehabilitation.
As Clinical Director of PSP Neuro and Paediatric Rehabilitation he has brought together both medics and healthcare professionals to provide one of the most advanced spasticity service in the UK. The unique multi-disciplinary team has a proven track record of developing and implementing effective approaches in the management of spasticity ensuring the individual’s needs are met.
Peter is a highly skilled clinician who has a wealth of experience and expertise in assessing and treating adults and children with neurological impairments including Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE), acquired brain injury, hypoxic brain injury and spinal cord injuries. His specialist interest lies in upper limb spasticity.
Peter is a regular contributor to professional audits and clinical journals in the advancement of spasticity management.
Peter lectures in neuro rehabilitation to both pre and post graduates. He delivers master classes in JCP, Spasticity Management, Anatomy, including cadaveric workshops and the usage of Botulinum Toxin in rehabilitation.
