Osiris Health’s Dr Bhaskar Basu, a Consultant and specialist in Rehabilitation has this month been speaking at the 45th Annual National Conference of the Indian Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (International Faculty) at Science City in Kolkata, India.
Dr Bhaskar Basu, used this platform to present to other medical professionals on the advancement in amputee rehabilitation. As well as being a part of the Osiris Health team Dr Basu works in the sub regional amputee rehabilitation unit in Manchester, which provides treatment for around 3000 active patients.
Dr Basu’s trip also saw him running a pre-conference workshop on spasticity management and the use of Botulinum Toxin with the help of ultrasound scan. He then went on to chair the conference’s plenary session and later joined the panel of guest speakers at the event’s press conference.
Being one of the most advanced spasticity service in the country and key opinion leaders both nationally and internationally means that the ground-breaking work Osiris Health does is of great interest to other countries wanting to improve their population’s health and wellbeing.
